
Leticha Heflin is an Atlanta, GA native and Co-founder of Elegante Afro, LLC. She is also the founder of God, Glitter, & Glam Ministries, Inc. an organization designed to celebrate all of the excited qualities that make every girl special through evangelism, community service, & outreach. Heflin earned her Baccalaureate degree in Political Science from Hampton University and a Masters of Science in Community and Environmental Health from Old Dominion University.
She began evangelizing, serving the community, and reaching out to others at an early age as she was a Girl Scout and active member of the National Baptist Convention USA, Inc. Congress of Christian Education Youth Choir. Throughout her early childhood education Heflin had a wide variety of experiences from singing on Broadway in the Fox Theatre's Beauty & the Beast (Camp Broadway) to competing as a state and regional Baton Twirling Champion.
Throughout her upbringing Heflin-Word has served the Lord and his church by serving as the 1st Vice-President of the SERYC of the Women’s Auxiliary of the National Baptist Convention, director of the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia's (G.E.M.B.C) Congress of Christian Education Youth Rally Choir, and a teacher in both the State of Georgia and District Congress of Christian Education. She currently serves on the iRock (I rely on Christ the King) Young Adult Experience staff. Heflin is a current Bill & Melinda Gates Millennium Graduate Scholar as a Doctoral Student, a social researcher, and a public health professional for a federal agency for which she deployed three times in response to the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
For as long as she can remember Heflin has always had a desire to expand her reach by starting a small business that would salute her ancestors, satisfy customers, and make her parents proud and so she is honored to be a part of the Elegance Afro Family and is excited to bring her public health knowledge to the table to promote total body wholeness subsequently beauty on the inside that reflects most on the outside.
